Write in Indian Languages online using English Alphabets

While searching for how to write in Devnagari script I stumbled upon this great post.

But it is too long for such trivial matter.

Just goto and type Hindi words in English script.
The software will transliterate.

Than copy and paste to your favorite text editor. I do not know about Windows MSWord (c) but basic text editors in Linux, like gedit, does the job fine.

Siddharth S said... has a comprehensive software for all Indian languages, called ITRANS. It has its own encoding, and a guide is also provided online. I have written entire articles with the the help of ITRANS in Hindi, and they're perfect, just as long as you get the encoding right.
